Les Kish has conducted research on the Austro-Hungarian Empire since 1985. He publishes a quarterly family newsletter "Családfa"(Family Tree) and has spent 25 years researching passenger lists, census records, and vital statistics. He has presented seminars at the Philadelphia Swedish Historical Museum and the Lehigh County Historical Museum and has taught at previous Family History Conferences in Reading, Pottstown, Whitehall, and Scranton, Pa. He is a volunteer at the Allentown Family History Center. Les is a retired psychology teacher from the School District of the City of Allentown.
In May 2008, Les spoke at the Berks County Genealogical Society in Reading, Pa. at the Google Complex on “Immigration and Passenger Lists”.
On November 13, 2008 Les spoke at the Bethlehem Area Public Library on
“Getting Started in Genealogy”.
